Kanji , a rock bar with a playlist that extends into rock’s every subgenre, fills a niche in Poros’s diverse nightlife.
It’s where you’ll find stiff drinks and strong music. But Kanji isn’t just the island’s alternative scene: on summer nights, its seafront tables are packed with cocktail-sipping singles and couples with rock classics in the background. And it’s an almost mandatory stop on every bar-hopper’s rounds of the Poros club scene.
Whoever wants to get loud, goes indoors. The action there centers around the DJ and his command post at one end of the long wooden bar. Depending on the mood, he’ll spin out everything from classic rock and Nineties’ bands to southern rock & blues and, of course, metal.
There are variances but the music is strictly rock. The night could end on a mellow note or with headbanging—stop in and find out.
In winter, Kanji is open Fridays and Saturdays only.
