Poros hosts international waterski competition in June

Top athletes from Greek and foreign clubs will compete in the 2015 Poros International Cup organised for the 21st consecutive year by the Passage waterski school. The sports event will be held June 6-7, with competition in six age categories—under 14 years, under 17, under 35, 35-45 years, 45-55 years, and over 55 years. Competition will be in slalom skiing, a single-ski event that tests agility over a multi-buoy course.

The competition will be held at the Drepani lagoon, which is sheltered inside the Poros strait on the mainland side across from the island.

The Poros International Cup is included in international waterski rankings. Between 40 and 60 athletes are expected to compete in this year’s event.
