Vayionia extends at the base of a deep, almost rectangular inlet on the island’s northern coast, about eight kilometers from Poros Town, with a view towards Aegina and the Attica coastline.
The beach is pebble, coarse sand, and shingle with sparkling waters whose color reflects the pines on the surrounding hills. The ruins of a sunken city can be seen at the far end and building foundations are discernible on clear days. There are sunbeds, umbrellas, and a small snack bar. The beach is popular among bathers who like to linger all day and enjoy a laid-back atmosphere. Getting there: There is no public transportation to Vayionia; arrive overland by private car, motorbike, or taxi.
